by thenational.ae — The Lebanese fashion designer has partnered with Simonetta, a leading Italian producer of childrenswear that has previously collaborated with Roberto Cavalli, Tod’s, Fendi, Lanvin, Emilio Pucci, Balmain and even Aston Martin on clothing collections for children. For footwear, Elie Saab has teamed up with Andrea Montelpare, a leader in the luxury footwear sector. Part of the autumn/winter 2020 collection, the first Elie Saab Junior line will feature all of the brand’s trademarks: craftsmanship, refinement and a fairy tale-esque approach to styling. Pretty dresses are crafted from soft, silky fabrics, chiffons and delicate lace, topped with ruffles and delicate bows at the neck, while elegant trousers and shirts feature stand-up collars and puff sleeves. Embellished with embroidery, sequins, leather and studs, shoes range from ballerinas to boots, and sneakers to sandals for girls, while boys have a choice of slippers, and Derby and Chelsea boots.

“The launch of the Elie Saab Junior line allows us to take a new step in the development of the house,” says Saab. “Reflecting our identity, this new line … offers pieces delicately made and inspired by the know-how and DNA of the house. Simonetta and Andrea Montelpare are the ideal partners to interpret our vision.” The clothing collection will be officially unveiled at Pitti Immagine Bimbo in Florence on Thursday, January 16, and will then be available in select boutiques and department stores around the world, while the shoes will be unveiled on Monday, January 13, at the Andrea Montelpare showroom in Milan.
