Change and Reform bloc MP Farid al-Khazen voiced concern on Saturday over the security situation in Lebanon, saying that to change the government in such a situation was “dangerous.” “The possibility of changing the current government under such difficult circumstances is very difficult and would risk putting Lebanon under great danger,” Khazen told OTV television station.
“It is impossible to make a transition to a [new] government without exposing its security,” he added. Khazen also addressed the issue of the Lebanese Shia pilgrims abducted in Syria. “It is clear that the circumstances surrounding this issue are mysterious and complicated as there is no clear information in the hands of the government or Prime Minister Najib Mikati.” [Link]
