BEIRUT: Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani said Monday his country was committed to helping Lebanon and supporting it in all circumstances, a statement by Prime Minister Najib Mikati’s press office said. “Qatar has a moral commitment to help Lebanon both before and after the 2008 Doha agreement,” the Qatari Emir said following talks with Mikati at Doha’s Amiri Diwan. The statement said that the two leaders signed six pending cooperation agreements and said that a joint meeting for the Lebanese-Qatari supreme committee would be held in Doha early next year.
