The army intelligence has arrested two people accused of transferring money to Lebanon to finance terrorist organizations, the military announced on Tuesday.

The army’s communique identified the suspects as Mahmoud Mohammed Hamze and Mohammed Osama Mehsen.

It said the two men are accused of transferring the money from Islamic Sate members abroad and handing the cash to associations and people linked to terrorist organizations.

Also Tuesday, the army announced the arrest of several fugitives during raids it carried out in the area of Sahra al-Shweifat in Beirut’s southern suburbs.
