BEIRUT: The relatives of Lebanese captive servicemen said Thursday that they would hold off on escalating their protests after recognizing the government’s efforts to secure the release of their loved ones.
But if the government fails to make serious progress soon, a major escalation will be in order, they warned.
“The positive sign that the families received is that the government is waiting on the captors to identify the party who will represent them in the negotiations in the next 24 hours,” ministerial sources told The Daily Star.
