Staff writer, Al Arabiya-The Lebanese Prime Minister, Saad al-Hariri, surprised a young woman with a marriage proposal in a ceremony televised live and organized by the Free Trade Sector on Tuesday. The event took place at the Beirut Center for Exhibitions and Conferences, where hundreds were invited. (Supplied) Hariri asked Dina Drawish, a girl sitting among the audience, to come onto the stage after delivering his speech. He read an emotional poem recorded on his mobile phone by poet Bilal al-Meer. Hariri then asked Dina what she thinks of Meer’s marriage proposal in the poem, written specially for her. She started nodding her head in acceptance. Bilal al-Meer then kissed, embraced her and kneeled to put a ring on her finger. Saad Hariri reappeared, and said: “Anyone else wants to get married?”
