BEIRUT: A papal delegation headed by Secretary General of the Synod of Bishops Lorenzo Baldisseri arrived to Beirut’s international airport Thursday, one day before a mass conference joining all political and religious figures in Lebanon is set to convene.

Baldisseri, and a papal delegation including the bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Lodi Maurizio Malvestiti were received by Bishop Antoine Nabil Andari, the Curial Bishop of Antiochia alongside a delegation of Lebanese bishops from the Maronite church.
