A Christian spiritual summit convened yesterday as a conclusion to the Syriac Catholic Bishops Synod, which was held at the Patriarchal Notre Dame Monastery in Al Cherfe, in the presence of the Apostolic Nuncio Gabriel Katchea.

A large number of patriarchs or representatives of eastern churches attended said summit, amongst them Maronite Patriarch Cardnial Mar Bechara Rai.

In his delivered word, Patriarch Rai called for ending the war in the East through seeking diplomatic and political solutions and putting terms to arms’ trafficking.

Turning to the domestic scene, Rahi said that he is working along with the patriarchs and the Papal Nuncio, internally and externally, on resolving the current standing crisis.
